Croissant T-Shirts

Five designs for the lamination-obsessed. 27 layers of intent. Cold butter, warm regards. Heavyweight cotton in butter, periwinkle, sage, and burgundy.

Croissant baking is serious. A proper croissant is 81 layers of butter and dough — three folds, three turns, half a day of patience. The English-speaking world calls it a pastry. The French call it a craft. The people who actually make them know it's both — and they want shirts that signal expertise without being precious.

This category brings together our most lamination-specific designs: the Croissant icon itself, Beurre Plastique (the technical name for butter at the perfect lamination consistency), Lamination Nation (the patriotic version of viennoiserie), Le Tourier (the French job title for the laminated-dough specialist), and Butter (the thing that turns flour into pastry).

All printed on garment-dyed heavyweight cotton. Vintage Parisian boulangerie color palette — butter yellow, periwinkle, sage, burgundy. Wear them to a croissant class, to a pastry pop-up, or just at home while you wait for your dough to cold-rest.

Common questions

About croissant t-shirts

What's beurre plastique?+
It's the French technical name for butter at the perfect lamination consistency — pliable, cool, never crumbling, never melting. Get the butter right and the rest is just folding. Get it wrong and you're starting over. The shirt is named for the obsession, not the chemistry.
Which design fits a beginner laminator?+
Lamination Nation — the welcoming-committee design, butter on navy, equal parts encouragement and inside joke. For the more advanced laminator who has earned a job title, Le Tourier carries the right gravitas.
Are croissant shirts wearable outside the kitchen?+
Yes. The vintage Parisian boulangerie palette (butter, periwinkle, sage, burgundy) is wearable as everyday apparel. The varsity typography reads as nostalgic rather than costume-y. Most customers wear them as casual everyday tees.
Do you sell croissant-themed accessories?+
Apparel only at launch. The roadmap includes aprons and tote bags but not yet. Pair the shirts with kitchen gear from elsewhere (Matfer rolling pin, marble slab, folding ruler) for a complete viennoiserie kit.
